Another victory for MillerCoors in its legal action against Anheuser-Busch

MillerCoors has won another legal victory in its fight with Anheuser-Busch over corn syrup in beer.

A federal judge in Wisconsin has issued a preliminary injunction barring Anheuser Busch from using the phrase “No Corn Syrup”, or a special icon, on its Bud Light beer packaging.

Earlier this year, the same judge issued an injunction preventing Anheuser-Busch from using marketing that suggests MillerCoors uses corn syrup in the final production of its light beers.

MillerCoors says that while it uses corn syrup in the brewing process, there is no corn syrup in the actual beers it sells. It accuses Anheuser-Busch of trying to confuse consumers, who may not understand the difference between high fructose corn syrup and the corn syrup used in the brewing process.
