Cargill remains committed to ag education and career development

Cargill Protein president, Growth Ventures and Emerging Markets, Rob Stewart says the company is committed to workforce development. He tells Brownfield more workers will be needed to feed the growing global population. “For us, it really is about one helping educate the future and get them competent and passionate about agriculture,” He says.  “Then seeing that further in order to help drive up that mission of feeding another 2 billion people in a safe, responsible and sustainable way.”

Stewart says the company has partnered with the National FFA Organization, but is also making commitments locally. “From making our facilities available to support meet,” he says.  “In local meat judging competitions, to hosting career fairs at our offices, to our employees engaging in their passion areas in their local areas.”

During this year’s National FFA Convention, Cargill made a commitment of more than $3 million to further its partnership with the National FFA Organization.
