CTC to feature wide ranging program

Ohio State University’s Conservation Tillage Conference will be held next Tuesday and Wednesday at Ohio Northern University in Ada (Ohio).

“We’ve got another 55-60 speakers, great speakers coming in as usual,” said Randall Reeder, program coordination. “Just an outstanding lineup of speakers and we’ve got 37 commercial exhibitors that will be there, so it’s a great opportunity to learn what’s available both from the speakers and from agribusiness.”

Reeder says that following the General Session featuring Dwayne Beck, manager of Dakota Lakes research farm that will kick-off the 2014 CTC, the program will transition to concurrent sessions.

“People do have choices and sometimes it’s a tough choice deciding which one to go to,” Reeder said. “If you’ve got two or three people in your organization or on your farm, it would be a good idea for all of you to come and split up so you can learn more.”

The conference will wrap up on Wednesday, March 5 with two panel discussions, one focusing on unmanned aerial systems for agriculture, drones, another panel will be discussing the Farm Bill conservation practices and how they affect water quality.
