CWT assists in cheese and butter sales

Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) has accepted 30 requests for export assistance from Dairy Farmers of America, Northwest Dairy Association (Darigold), Foremost Farms USA, Land O’Lakes and Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative Association to sell 4.398 million pounds of Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese and 3.522 million pounds of butter to customers in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. The product will be delivered July through December 2013.

Year-to-date, CWT has assisted member cooperatives in selling 72.155 million pounds of cheese, 56.907 million pounds of butter, 44,092 pounds of anhydrous milk fat and 218,258 pounds of whole milk powder to 34 countries on six continents
