Defending America’s farm families

Indiana Beef Cattle Association president Loran Wilson makes a presentation to Betty Doke of Protect the Harvest. Protect the Harvest was created to fight back and defend America’s farm families from the radical animal rights movement.  Executive Director Brian Klippenstein met with members of the Indiana Beef Cattle Association yesterday.  He says he wants members of the agricultural community to unite and engage.  “We’ve got a great story to tell,” he says.  “American agriculture is, and some people think it has been over-said, but it is the backbone of our American economy.  We’ve had the blessing of being food secure and we want to stay that way.”

This is just Klippenstein first visit to the Indiana State Fair this month.  August 17th is Protect the Harvest day at the fair – and he says that provides an opportunity to reach out to consumers.  “There will be a lot of information sources that both the learned at the curious can go through and interact with people in the industry of agriculture.”
