Emily Limes sixth at Stockman

The Ohio State University Livestock Judging Team had another good showing this past weekend at the Stockman Judging Contest at the Dekalb County Fairgrounds in Auburn, Indiana. In fact, Emily Limes of Bowling Green, who placed sixth overall, became the first OSU Livestock Judging Team member in the 20-year history of the contest to place in the top 10.

Justin Bachman of Lancaster was 13th and Duane Shawk of Bucyrus was 20th overall.

“It is exciting to see our students being rewarded for their efforts. I feel like we are very close to a major breakthrough, and am excited because this contest really helps me figure out where we need to focus down the home stretch,” said OSU Livestock Judging Team Coach Kyle Culp. “I have no doubts that if each student executes to their potential, the next two contests will be very rewarding.”

The remaining contests include the American Royal and the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) at Louisville, Kentucky.
