Former ag secretary Hardin dies at age 94
Clifford Hardin, a longtime chancellor of the University of Nebraska who served for two years as agriculture secretary in the Nixon administration, died on Sunday at the age of 94.
Hardin was appointed NU chancellor in 1954 at the age of 38 and held the post until 1969, when he became agriculture secretary until 1971.
