Graham may still be at table, report says

A report from Politico says South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham may still be at the table on the climate/energy bill. A report Monday says the Republican will meet with fellow authors of the bill, Senators John Kerry and Joe Lieberman, tonight to try and “reset action” on the bill they originally intended to unveil yesterday. Graham pulled his support of the bill late last week, complaining that Democrats were rushing immigration reform for political reasons and placing it before climate/ energy legislation which Graham says needs the most attention right now.

Whether there’s time to get the climate/energy bill to the floor is in question since it would have to be merged with another measure passed by the Senate Energy committee, among other steps in the process.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told MSNBC that it’s possible to make progress on both immigration reform and energy legislation, although the calendar is tight.
