Grassley expects announcement of U.S.-Japan ag deal next month

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley is optimistic that a new agricultural trade agreement with Japan is forthcoming.

Grassley told reporters he expects an agreement to be announced after Japan’s elections in July.

“Yes, we’ll have something soon after the elections to announce,” Grassley said.

President Trump is scheduled to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Abe later this week at the G20 Summit in Japan.
