IAA Foundation scholarships available

The deadline is quickly approaching for agriculture students to apply for scholarships offered through the Illinois Agricultural Association Foundation.

Susan Moore, director of the IAA Foundation says their scholarship program has grown significantly in recent years.  “We have 74 scholarships to award this year for a total amount of $177,800,” she says.  “We will be able to support many students as they pursue careers in agriculture.”

She tells Brownfield the majority of the scholarships are for Illinois students headed into a career in agriculture, but they are open to students at all levels.  “You must be a graduating senior entering your first year of college,” she says.  “But interestingly enough the majority of our applicants are typically students entering their first year of college, but we will award we will award your sophomore, junior, and into your senior year as well.”

A complete list of scholarships is available at www.iaafoundation.org.  Applications must be post-marked by February 1, 2014.
