Johanns: Obama’s trade policy ‘missing in action’

News that the European Union has approved a free trade agreement with South Korea has Nebraska Senator Mike Johanns up in arms.

Johanns says the EU-Korean agreement gives the Europeans an opportunity to increase their exports to South Korea and to take market share from the U.S.  Johanns says it’s another example of how the Obama Administration’s trade policy is, in his words, “missing in action”.  He says that, while President Obama has repeatedly stated his support for the pending trade agreements with Colombia, Panama and South Korea, they continue to sit idle.

Johanns again called on Obama to send all three pending FTA’s to Congress for ratification.
