Koch acquires Iowa fertilizer plant
Koch Ag and Energy Solutions plans to buy an Iowa fertilizer plant built in 2017.
Iowa Fertilizer Company in Wever produces 3.5 million metric tons of nitrogen fertilizers and diesel exhaust fluid annually and is owned by Dutch company OCI Global.
Koch, based in Wichita, Kansas, said in a release the acquisition is an important step as the company continues to invest in its fertilizer business and compliments its existing business portfolio.
The fertilizer monopoly squeezes tighter. Even with cheap Nat Gas we will pay dearly for NH3.
