Kudlow optimistic China will quickly lower ag tariffs
The National Economic Council Director says the Chinese committed to lowering their retaliatory tariffs and importing more American agricultural, industrial, and energy products immediately. Larry Kudlow says how fast that happens depends on the speed of the Chinese honoring their commitments.
Kudlow says the U.S. and China are also pretty close to some agreements on the forced transfer of technology.
The Director says the G-20 meeting between President Trump and Chinese President Xi covered a lot of detail and was the first time there has been hands-on participation by President Xi. He says unlike past meetings, it appears Xi and Vice Premier Liu He are serious about reaching a trade deal.
