Manure runoff advisory posted for Wisconsin
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued a manure runoff risk advisory for the next ten days in Wisconsin. The snowfall on Monday night-Tuesday morning, thawing temperatures and more snow in the forecast have made for an increased risk for runoff. Livestock producers are asked to refrain from spreading manure on these days. If that is not possible, work with your agronomist or local Land Conservation Department to identify those fields with the least amount of risk.
