Minnesota soybean harvest 12 days ahead of normal

The Minnesota soybean harvest is nearly two weeks ahead of normal.

USDA’s latest weekly crop report says as of Sunday, 61 percent of the acreage is harvested.  That’s 23 days faster than last year and 12 days ahead of the five-year average.

The corn harvest, at 14 percent, is 18 days quicker than 2019 and a week ahead of normal.

Corn moisture content is averaging 22 percent.

Sunflowers are 24 percent harvested, potatoes are at 87 percent, and half of the state’s sugarbeets are out of the ground.
