Samantha Warner of Archie was chosen as Missouri FFA President last Friday during annual convention in Columbia. She was surprised and excited about being chosen. I asked her what it means to be president, "Itmeans I’m going to be a very busy person this year but I’m up for the challenge and I can’t wait!”

Samantha says she’s going to school at Missouri State University in the fall to study ag education, “There’s so much misinformation about the ag industry and Ithink there’s a big ag illiteracy problem at the moment.” That's why she says ag education is so important.

Clayton Hawkins is a senior at North Shelby High School. He’s Missouri FFA’s new First Vice President, “It’s a great honor to be able to serveMissouri and over 24,000 of these members that we have in our great FFA organization.”

Clayton Hawkins, Missouri FFA's First Vice President Clayton tells me he feels blessed, “I just want to give the glory to myGod and Savior and He’s brought me through a lot of things, including being a cancer survivor. And I know I wouldn’t be here without Him.” He’ll attend MU in the fall working toward a degree in agriculture systems management.
