MO Farm Bureau members see policy process

Missouri Farm Bureau members are seeing the making of federal policy and are doing their part to affect that policy to the benefit of farmers.

Dozens of farmers are part of the delegation of Missouri Farm Bureau members getting an update on farm policy being formed in Washington, D.C.  Missouri Farm Bureau President Blake Hurst says it’s important to have members in Washington because they’re the ones who are part of annually setting Farm Bureau policy.

The trip culminated with face to face individual meetings with members of Missouri’s congressional delegation.

For some Missouri Farm Bureau members, the Washington, D.C. experience is new.  Farm Bureau Directors-at-large Teribeth Spargo and Barbara Wilson are both seasoned – Teribeth’s been coming to the nation’s capital for a half-dozen years and Wilson for ten.  Both, however, are still in awe of witnessing the lawmaking process.
