Monsanto and Dow reach soybean licensing agreement

Monsanto and Dow AgroSciences have reached a new licensing agreement on Monsanto’s Roundup Ready 2 Yield soybeans.  

Under the agreement, Monsanto grants Dow a non-exclusive, royalty-bearing license in the U.S. to develop, produce, sell and sublicense seed and germplasm with Roundup Ready 2 Yield technology.  Dow also receives an option to license the technology in other countries, such as Brazil, where Monsanto plans to commercialize Roundup Ready 2 Yield soybeans.  And Dow gains the rights to stack Roundup Ready 2 Yield technology with other biotechnology traits.
