More HPAI confirmed in SD

The USDA says two more commercial turkey farms in South Dakota have Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza.

The two farms are in Faulk and McPherson counties and were confirmed this week. State Veterinarian Beth Thompson tells Brownfield the cases are the same virus carried by wild waterfowl.

That makes three affected flocks in South Dakota over the last month and USDA says 162,000 birds have been affected in this outbreak so far.
