NPPC on abuse video

The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) is calling on Oklahoma authorities to do a complete investigation of alleged animal abuse at a hog farm in that state. The animal rights group Mercy for Animals released the undercover video this week showing workers abusing hogs. The group told the NPPC that it HAD contacted authorities about the alleged animal cruelty.

A statement issued by NPPC says the organization “and America’s hog farmers do not condone and, in fact, strongly condemn practices that are not in accord with U.S. pork industry best practices.”
