Ohio Cattlemen gear up for annual meeting
The Ohio Cattlemen’s Association’s (OCA) Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet is going to be held Saturday, January 26 in Columbus.
OCA Executive Director Elizabeth Harsh says the business portion of the annual meeting will include a discussion on the issues important to Ohio cattlemen, as well as policy development.
“Every year we have a portion of our policy that’s up for consideration as to whether or not it continues or needs amended, so they’ll be focusing on that,” Harsh said. “Also, we’ll have a variety of speakers coming in to talk about what’s going on within the industry for our members.”
Speakers include Kent Bacus, Associate Director of Legislative Affairs in the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Washington, D.C. office and Glen Arnold, with OSU Extension will be on the program to talk about nutrient management and water quality in Ohio.
