Ohio Farm Bureau centennial recognized at Ohio State

A historical marker in honor of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation’s centennial is on display at Ohio State University.

The marker is located outside Jennings Hall, where in 1919, representatives of 76 county Farm Bureaus established the organization.

Ohio Farm Bureau President Frank Burkett says it’s fitting the meeting took place at the college. He says Ohio State University, OSU Extension, and Ohio Farm Bureau are lifelong partners.

Cathann Kress, dean of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, says OSU’s partnership with Ohio Farm Bureau is just as important today as it was 100 years ago.
