Ohio Gov. names Livestock Care Standards Board

Ohio Governor Ted Strickland has named the 10 appointees to the Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board, that’s the group brought about when Ohio voters approved Issue 2 this past November.

The board is charged with establishing standards governing the care and wellbeing of livestock and poultry in Ohio. In addition to the 10 appointed by the Governor, Ohio Department of Agriculture Director Robert Boggs and a representative from the Ohio House and Senate will make up the 13 member board.
