Ohio State Livestock Judging Team places sixth

The Ohio State University Livestock Judging Team had its best finish since 2004 at the American Royal Intercollegiate Livestock Judging contest in Kansas City.

Of the 25 university teams competing, the team from Ohio State place sixth overall. OSU place third in swine judging, seventh in cattle, ninth in the sheep and goat division and tenth in oral reasons.

The livestock judging team’s final contest of the year will be November 17 at the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Kentucky.

The 2014 OSU Livestock Judging Team consists of Zach Bartenslager, Lewisburg, W. Va., Levi Criswell, Marion, Ohio, Tonya Fender, Lynchburg, Ohio, Megan Hunker, Bellevue, Ohio, Jacob Ruffing, Republic, Ohio, Cody Shafer, Eaton, Ohio, Courtney Tarvin, Mt. Olivet, Ky., and Lydia Ulry, Johnstown, Ohio.  The team is coached by Kyle Culp. Emily Limes, Bowling Green, Ohio, is serving as the Assistant Coach of the team.
