Planting delays continue in Indiana

The USDA says high moisture levels and cool soil temperatures continue to prevent planting progress in Indiana.

The average temperature for the week was about 50 degrees, one degree below normal. The average precipitation was 1.4 inches, .4 inches above normal.

Topsoil moisture is 99 percent and subsoil moisture is 97 percent adequate to surplus.

Sixty-two percent of the winter wheat crop is rated good to excellent.
