Syngenta to expand at Brazil seed corn plant

Syngenta Ag reportedly plans to invest 77 Million Dollars to expand its corn seed production facility in Formosa, Brazil. According to the Lincoln Journal Star, Syngenta will be able to quadruple production to 1.6 Million bags by 2015. Growth in the pork and poultry sectors is expected to spur growth in Brazilian corn production to almost double by the year 2020.

Syngenta has a seed corn production operation in Phillips, Nebraska.
