Two former Illinois Directors of Ag recognized

Chuck Hartke and Tom Jennings, two former directors of the Illinois Department of Agriculture were recognized yesterday at the Illinois Commodity Conference.  Hartke and Jennings were awarded the 2011 Friend of Agriculture Award.  Mike Haag, president of the Illinois Pork Producers Association said both have dedicated several years serving Illinois farmers and helping to improve the state’s agriculture.

The Friend of Agriculture award is given each year to individuals who have significantly contributed to improving agriculture in Illinois.
