Weather continues to delay Indiana fieldwork

Cold and wet weather continues to delay fieldwork in Indiana.

According to the latest weekly Crop and Weather report heavy rains saturated already damp and cool soils.  Pasture, hay and wheat fields have started to green up.  Seventy percent of the winter wheat crop is rated good to excellent and some topdressing of wheat did occur last week.

Field conditions are unsuitable for work forcing farmers to focus on indoor activities like preparing equipment ahead of the start of planting.
