West central Minnesota farmer wants to bottle up 2015 growing season
A west central Minnesota farmer says he wishes every growing season could be like 2015.
Noah Hultgren grows corn, sugar beets, edible beans, canning crops and alfalfa in Kandiyohi County and says since December, conditions have been close to ideal.
“Right temperatures, right moisture. And this fall, the weather couldn’t be any more perfect. Looks like good yields that we’re going to have.”
He tells Brownfield corn harvest is about half done.
“I think we’re going to make really good progress next week because we’re in the process of finishing our sugar beets, which takes away a lot of people. We hope to finish sugar beets this week.”
Hultgren says if things go well, corn harvest could be finished by the end of next week.
