CFDC focuses on health benefits of higher ethanol blends

Ethanol supporters have long emphasized the environmental benefits of ethanol. The Clean Fuels Development Coalition (CFDC) takes that a step further and focuses specifically on the public health benefits of higher ethanol blends.

“The health aspect has sort of been ignored a little bit, so we’re trying to bring it back to the surface,” says CFDC executive director Doug Durante. “It’s not on the table right now and we’re trying to get it on the table.”

At the recent American Coalition for Ethanol conference in Omaha, we visited with Durante about their campaign to replace “bad compounds” in gasoline with ethanol.
