Iowa coalition pushes presidential candidates on RFS

ethanol plant-andersons-denison iowaLeaders of the Iowa-based coalition called America’s Renewable Future (ARF) held a conference call with reporters this week to discuss their efforts to push presidential candidates in both parties to support the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS).  They also discussed the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed Renewable Volume Obligation and the impact for Iowa.

Participating in the call were:

  • Patty Judge, former Iowa lieutenant governor and ARF co-chair
  • Bill Couser, Nevada, Iowa farmer, Lincolnway Energy director and ARF co-chair
  • Mark Recker, corn and soybean farmer from Arlington, Iowa
  • Craig Floss, CEO, Iowa Corn Growers Association
  • Monte Shaw, executive director, Iowa Renewable Fuels Association
