Rural Prosperity Initiative forms in western Illinois

A new organization has been formed in Illinois to increase rural innovation and entrepreneurship.

Pat McGinnis is the executive director of the Lower Illinois River Valley Rural Prosperity Initiative. He tells Brownfield their goal is to rebuild rural communities and the rural economy in their area.

After being publicly launched earlier this year, LIRV-RPI is broadening relationships with stakeholders and businesses to gather input on challenges, needs and opportunities in the lower Illinois River Valley.
