Clark Poppert is a technical support agronomist in Nebraska for the crop consulting firm Servi-Tech.  He says he expects Nebraska’s corn harvest to start picking up steam the last week of September—and when it does, Poppert thinks farmers are going to find a lot of inconsistency and variability in their fields.  He talks about some of the reasons for that and what farmers need to keep in mind as they start thinking about 2011.
