Bucyrus Coffee Stop gathers farmers at Crawford County Fair

Justice Pfeifer, Coffee Stops 2013The Crawford County Fair was host of the Brownfield and Case IH Coffee Stop in Bucyrus, Ohio Wednesday morning.  Farmers gathered to enjoy a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, and eggs prepared by the Lykens Fire Department.  After breakfast, Brownfield’s ag broadcaster, Dave Russell, welcomed local farmers, many of whom were attending the livestock shows at the fair.

Russell spoke with Ohio Supreme Court Justice Paul Pfeifer.  Justice Pfeifer is also a farmer in Crawford County.  He discussed his passion for agriculture and how he came to serve the industry politically through involvement in 4-H.  At a 4-H Congress event, he was able to watch the political process happen.

“I remember at the time thinking, ‘I’d like to do this’.  So clear back to 4-H in high school sort of set the mindset for me that serving the legislature was interesting,” he said.

Attendees were given a chance to ask the Justice questions.  The next Coffee Stop will be at Bread ‘N Brew in Wellington, Ohio on Thursday morning.  A full list of Coffee Stops can be found here.
