Case IH CVT technology
One of the more popular exhibits at the Farm Progress Show is the Case IH CVT tent. CVT stands for continuously variable transmission. Visitors to the exhibit have the opportunity to sit in a cut-away version of a cab seat and actually operate the tractor. There is also a CVT simulator shows the “guts” of the CVT.Dave Bogan, Marketing Manager for the Maximum Puma Line for the CaseIH line of tractors, explains the CVT is simple to use, even with minimal training, because there’s no programming required or complicated settings to change. The Case IH continuously variable transmission (CVT), is now available on Case IH MagnumTM180, 190, 210 and the new 225 tractors, delivers more.
The Case IH CVT technology automatically adjusts to deliver the best possible balance of power and fuel efficiency. Bogan tells Brownfield that it brings a lot to the industry in ease of operation and productivity management.
