Combine rentals still anchor Machinerylink

After beginning in 2001 with eight combines, Machinerylink has grown to the deploying of about 270 combines to customers from coast to coast. That’s according to the company’s marketing director, Mark Gabrick, who says they keep combines rolling from May until late in the fall, whereas most grain farmers get a couple of weeks work per year out of machines they own.

Now the company has launched the data-driven Farmlink. Customers can find out how local, state and national yields are trending to help them in marketing decisions. The data will indicate how the harvest is progressing and what the end results are likely to be.

  • There’s also an industry out there that’s been around for 60+ years that depend on the job these rentals may take away. What industry is that? Custom harvesters.
