Dow awaits registration of refuge-in-the-bag
Dow AgroSciences anticipates that their SmartStax Refuge Advanced will be planted as early as 2012 providing what they describe as a single-bag solution for refuge compliance. Each bag is to be 95 percent SmartStax containing the Bt insect trait, while 5 percent will be non-insect-traited seed. Dow representatives talked about the seed technology at the Farm Progress Show Tuesday.
