Grains, oilseeds stressed by ‘global glut’
Prices for grain and oilseed commodities are stressed by what analyst Dr. Sam Funk refers to as the “global glut”.
“You’ve got a lot of production that globally has hit the marketplace, and the world is saying ‘we’ve sufficient supplies for everything right now,’” Funk told Brownfield Ag News at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois, “and we really haven’t had that yield challenge for supply on a broad scale basis.”
