It takes vision and long-range planning

Deming

World Dairy Expo is the result of the collective effort of hundreds of people led by a Board of Directors. While he has been on the board for years, this is Al Deming’s first show as President of the Board which he says has him looking at the show in a different way. “I have a much greater appreciation for everything that goes on” says Deming. He adds that without the army of volunteers, this show would not happen and stresses the need to keep getting new, younger people involved since “some of us are getting a little gray around the edges.”

Once this show is complete, the focus will turn to next year and the 50th anniversary. Deming says while the cattle show has been the foundation of Expo; the growth has been in the trade show. After that, Deming says they will put together a strategic plan for the next five years.
