Leading the Field in innovation

With SeaWorld Orlando as the backdrop, Brent Smith, Vice President of Marketing & Innovation for Nutrien Ag Solutions announced a new partnership with former NASCAR driver Elliott Sadler as part of Nutrien’s Leading the Field campaign.  Sadler is returning to the track to race for Nutrien Ag Solutions in two Xfinity Series events this season. He is teaming up with returning Xfinity driver Ross Chastain, driving the #10 Nutrien Ag Solutions Chevrolet Camaro SS.  (Nutrien’s partnership with Chastain was announced earlier this year.)

Smith tells Brownfield that Sadler and Chastain are great ambassadors for Nutrien Ag Solutions.

“Racing and agriculture have a long history and a lot of roots together so it’s kind of a natural thing.  Growers from a sports standpoint rally around NASCAR more than any other sport.  For Nutrien Ag Solutions, obviously helping us build the brand but also just having ambassadors like Elliott Sadler and Ross Chastain that are farmers themselves, that understand agriculture, that can be great ambassadors for our brand and for our company will help just build the awareness for us as we continue to build our 1700 locations around the world, our 3,000 crop consultants and give them the tools to make the experiences better for our growers.”

Smith tells Brownfield there’s a lot to be excited about in the business today.

Nutrien Ag Solutions is trying to become more than sellers of inputs and services.  Smith sees his company as a partner with growers, focused on helping those partners thrive. He tells Brownfield that digital will be a component of that, helping give customers a multi-dimensional experience.

Nutrien Ag Solutions spends millions of dollars every year on innovation in digital, plant nutrition, seed, and biologicals.  Smith tells Brownfield they are excited to bring that to the farm.
