ISA China trade mission yields valuable information
The Iowa Soybean Association’s trade mission to China yielded some valuable information which participants will continue to analyze over the coming weeks and months. Those discussions will include the possibility that China’s red-hot demand for U.S. soybeans could start to cool off if Chinese pork production enters a period of decline.
During the final stop on the trade mission in Hong Kong, we asked participant Bill Northey, Iowa secretary of agriculture, to reflect on what he heard and saw during the group’s 8-day trek through southern China.
