Southeastern North Dakota chapter takes honor in Louisville

The Richland 44 FFA Chapter of North Dakota won a Model of Innovation Award for a community campaign in which members made checkerboards to help entertain patients and to relieve their boredom at the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo. Reaction from patients to the “Boards for Boredom” service project was hard to measure. Privacy and health concerns prevented members from meeting young patients face to face. But in an interview with Brownfield Ag News, Janna Anderson and Zach Miller, members of the Richland 44 FFA Chapter, talked about the experience and how it affected them.
