Threatening weather prompts early end to day-1 of WFTD

A mid-afternoon storm prompted an early dismissal at Wisconsin Farm Technology Days on Tuesday. Threatening skies, lightning and high winds forced an evacuation of the grounds at 3 p.m. and the show to close for the day. No damage and very little rain. The show opens again Wednesday morning at 9.

Attendance for the first day was surprisingly good given the 90-plus temperatures and a forecast for cooler temps on Wednesday and Thursday. Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is being held at Sugar Creek Farms and Heideman Farms just north of New London on County Highway D.
