Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of colder-than-normal conditions nationwide, except for near- or above-normal temperatures in southern Florida and northern New England. 

Meanwhile, wetter-than-normal weather in the Deep South and from the northern Plains into the upper Great Lakes region should contrast with near- or below-normal precipitation across the remainder of the country.
