Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Sponsored by Pivot Bio PROVEN

During the next several days, mostly dry weather will accompany building heat across the nation’s mid-section, including the Plains and western Corn Belt. Although most crops across the central and southern Plains have adequate soil moisture to withstand a spell of hot, dry weather, some corn and soybeans in drier sections of the western Corn Belt may experience increasing stress levels. Meanwhile, the northern Plains and Far West will continue to experience a variety of profound drought-related impacts, including dryland crop losses, water-supply shortages, and rampant wildfire activity. In contrast, the Southwestern monsoon will remain active, especially across the Four Corners States. Elsewhere, Northern rain will be mostly limited to New England and the Great Lakes States, while locally heavy showers will occur in parts of the Southeast and along the Gulf Coast.
