Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Later Wednesday, potentially damaging weather conditions may occur in several regions. For example, parts of the upper Midwest are at risk of a significant, mid-December severe weather outbreak, just 5 days after snow blanketed the region. Meanwhile, any fire ignitions across the central and southern Plains could result in dangerous and fast-moving wildfires. By Wednesday night, heavy rain may develop across some of the tornado-ravaged areas of the mid-South and lower Midwest. With precipitation lingering through Friday, event-total rainfall from the southeastern Plains into the Ohio Valley should total 1 to 4 inches. Farther west, storms will continue to arrive along the Pacific Coast, with the heaviest precipitation falling in northern California and the Northwest. In contrast, little or no rain will fall during the next 5 days from southern California to the southern High Plains.
