Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A complex and sprawling spring storm will move inland early in the week along the northern Pacific Coast, followed by a slow eastward progression across the northern Plains on Tuesday and the Great Lakes States on Thursday and Friday. The storm will produce some snow across the northern U.S., heaviest early in the week from the Cascades to the northern Rockies. Meanwhile, 5-day precipitation totals could reach 1 to 2 inches or more from the Midwest into the Northeast. Meanwhile, heavy showers and locally severe thunderstorms could occur each day this week in various parts of the South, with the focus for strong thunderstorms gradually shifting from the southeastern Plains to the southern Atlantic Coast. Chilly air will trail the storm system, with widespread freezes expected during the second half of the week across the northern half of the Plains and much of the Midwest. Late-week frost could extend into the mid-South and interior Southeast. Elsewhere, mostly dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days in the nation’s southwestern quadrant, from California to the central and southern High Plains.
