Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A slow-moving storm system emerging from the northern and eastern Plains will reach the Great Lakes region late in the week. Additional rainfall could total 1 to 2 inches in the lower Midwest and 1 to 3 inches in much of the eastern U.S., with significantly higher amounts possible in the Southeast. Accumulating snow may occur around mid-week in the upper Great Lakes region. Farther south, locally severe weather—including flash flooding, high winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes—will accompany the Southeastern rainfall Wednesday into Thursday. In contrast, dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days from California to the southern half of the Plains. Elsewhere, chilly weather in the storm’s wake could result in weekend frost and freezes as far south as the mid-South and interior Southeast.
