Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A nearly-stationary low-pressure system currently centered over Minnesota will drift eastward, reaching the vicinity of Michigan by Friday morning. Rain will continue to change to wind-driven snow showers across the north-central U.S., with accumulations expected in the upper Great Lakes region. Late in the week, windy weather across the nation’s mid-section will subside as the storm begins to weaken. Farther south, strong Southeastern thunderstorms will linger into Thursday, before cooler, drier weather returns. In fact, weekend frost and freezes could extend as far south as the Tennessee Valley. Looking ahead to early next week, cool, windy unsettled conditions will begin to spread southeastward across the western U.S. Additionally, high winds may return across the drought-stricken southern High Plains.
