Brownfield Ag Weather Today

An early-season cold outbreak across the eastern half of the U.S. will be replaced by warmer weather late in the week.  In fact, weekend high temperatures should reach 80°F or higher as far north as the western Corn Belt, including parts of Iowa and South Dakota.  Meanwhile, temperatures near 90°F will occur in much of Texas.  Farther west, an influx of clouds and showers will precede and accompany a surge of cooler air.  Some of the heaviest precipitation will fall in the Northwest, especially in the Cascades and northern Rockies.  Late in the weekend, scattered showers will begin to overspread the nation’s mid-section, with the most significant rain expected across the northern Plains and upper Midwest.  However, the rain is not expected to have an immediate effect on low river levels, which continue to plague portions of the Mississippi Valley.
